OK, folks, either it has been raining a lot (and no, it hasn't, not excessively), or else the end of days is here, or perhaps there are three witches on their way here to convene and cackle. (I'd hazard a guess that at least three wiccans or at least pagans read this LJ, so own up!)

Today I've found one grass snake and one toad around the house. (Actually, Cassandra found the snake. I had to drag her away from her newfound toy, and it was priceless to see her eye the USB cables to the computer suspiciously immediately afterwards!) I've never seen either around the house, and we've lived here for almost six years. They're both dead if the cats run across them (in the case of the snake, run across them again), so I hope they make their way away from the house. A pity, it feels good to have toads and grass snakes around the house. I like amphibians and serpents.

Hiss! (Yes, the grass snake hissed at me a lot when I tried to shoo it away.)

Watch out, or I'll send our rain.

I'll swap you the toad for some rain. I miss the frogs at the bottom of my old garden.

Yes, perhaps they smell too bad for the cats? I know our cats are cowards, they have been scared by the neighbour's pet rabbit. On the other hand, they don't hunt for the eating but just chase everything small that moves, so I'm afraid they might kill the toad first and discover that it's yucky afterwards. But perhaps the toad is so slow and sluggish it's safe.

It's raining snakes! Hallelujah, it's raining snakes!

(Here, it's just raining. The sun was out briefly yesterday, but it changed its mind.)

Well, luv', you're in Gothenburg. Myself, I'm listening to an LP with Karajan directing the Berlin Philharmonics, reading Sandman, and drinking Red Seal. Life could be worse.

Miss you, though! Love you! The cats send their meows.

I wish we had snakes around the building where I live - I adore snakes. My cat wouldn't be too pleased, too...

Did see a frog this morning - no idea what it was doing there in the middle of the city. Not as good as a snake, though.

Au contraire, I had to intervene to save the snake. Cassandra thought it was the most amusing toy. And poor grass snakes can't do much more than hiss back, which doesn't bother Cassandra that much; her sister does that to her all day.
