Nov. 24th, 2004 04:48 pmSo, now I have paid our membership fees for Paragon 2. It turned out we were not members after all. Next, hotel reservations, as soon as we get our membership numbers.
More locally, the Snorfon 2 committee - which I'm 1/4 of - seem to have decided we want to hold the con in Uppsala next year, in late October. A meta con, sort of smof con, but with other stuff than just conrunning and with a Nordic focus. A meta con for Nordic actifans, simply, for conrunners, faneds, and other types of organizers. Copenhagen last month was great fun, I hope Uppsala next year will be just as fun.
In thirty minues, I'm leaving the office to take the train down to Stockholm. This year it is 20 years since Apple Computer, Inc. opened its Swedish subsidiary, and all employees and ex-employees have been invited to an anniversary party tonight. (Unfortunately, not on the company's expense, but hey, it will be fun nevertheless.) Many of these people I have nothing in common with, since Apple Sweden (especially by the time I was laid off) was mostly a sales office with marketers and boring neckties, but there were some marvellous people there and it was a great company with great products. Still is, of course.
