I will be selling books in Stockholm on Sunday, in my capacity as the chairman of the Alvar Appeltofft Memorial Foundation.
It is the Book Guild of the Tolkien Society Forodrim and the Alvar Foundation who will be selling second hand and antiquarian books on Sunday October 16, 1-5 PM. The whole thing is an SFSF event, their annual "bokfrossa".
A good deal more than a thousand books and magazines will be for sale, some of them crime novels but most are science fiction and fantasy. We're talking of both old classics from the 40s and 50s and relatively new books, a lot of it cheap and some of it quite rare, hardbacks and paperbacks. The Alvar Foundation has never had more books than this; to that add the Forodrim books.
Delicious home-made pies and drink will be sold.
The venue is the Forodrim club house on Agnegatan 45 (on Kungsholmen by T-Rådhuset/exit Rådhuset). There is a door bell labelled "Forodrim" on the right side of the main door.
