The Rules:
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will post the answers to the questions (and the questions themselves) on your blog.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post. (or a separate post, but not too long after. Be honest here, people!)
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
Here is
etherealfionna's interview with me:
1) How the hell are you? You haven't said anything in *ages*. It makes thinking up good questions much harder...
Sorry. I seldom feel moved to write anything in my journal, which is why I stopped blogging. (Except for my Swedish-language fandom newsblog.) I'm fine, actually.
2) Why the 'p' in your username?
I needed a username for the Open Directory Project, but of course johan was already taken. I chose jophan instead, partly because it's the commonest typo I make when typing my name, and partly because jophan is the protagonist in Willis and Shaw's The Enchanted Duplicator.
3) Every country in the world that you would even consider living in has offered you a job at twice your current earnings (and the same for your wife). Which would you choose to move to?
That's a terribly difficult question. It's so different living somewhere compared to visiting. I choose France, not because I enjoy spending holidays there more than in, for instance, Britain, Ireland or Italy, but because I think it's probably the best mix of culture and convenience, technology and a good living.
4) What in your opinion is your best characteristic? What about your worst?
Best: I'm very forgiving, I don't keep grudges. Worst: I can be quite patronizing if I don't watch out.
5) Trains, planes and automobiles. Which one and why?
Trains! A civilized, comfortable way of travelling, with plenty of space to walk around and time to watch the scenery pass by.
