Yesterday I received the first three volumes in the Scandinavian edition of the collected works of Carl Barks. Far too expensive, but they are worth it to me. Beautiful, large, lavish volumes, great colours, good texting. A delight; I'm glad that I decided to subscribe to this collection. It will be another three years before the whole set is complete, but there is enough in each instalment to last me a couple of weeks.

And now off to this month's pub gathering with the local SF fandom. Last week the University had its freshman reception, and we were there with fliers, trying to catch innocent future fen in our nets. Tonight we'll see whether we had any success.

Wow. I wish I had the complete collection of Carl Barks' works. Well, at least I've got some of his classic cartoons, in the unique translation of Dr. Erika Fuchs.

New, high-quality books are ALWAYS worth it.

Mmmm, I've been drooling over that one...

It's impolite to drool on other people's books.

If you don't want it anymore because of that, I'll be happy to remove it from the premises.

Ooh, I can see why you'd want to be anonymous! Them's fighting words, you know!
