I'm such an idiot. I'm down with a cold and what do I do? I make myself comfortable in the leather couch in the Room of Fire, open our bottle of Graham's 20 y.o. Tawny Port and pour myself a brave glass. Duh. What a waste, of course I don't have much left of my sense of smell and taste. Whack me, someone?

Just finished The Privilege of the Sword by ellen_kushner. Highly recommended. It's got it all. Excellent writing; engaging protagonists; joy; character development; serious, important issues; intelligence; wit -- you name it. Buy, buy, buy!
