I think I shall start logging the books we/I buy in my journal. Perhaps not the most exciting info, but who knows, it just might spark off a discussion or two.

Today's catch:

Rosor och riddare, edited and translated by Axel and Ulla Österberg, Rabén & Sjögren 1971. Swedish translations of Provençal troubadour poetry, with generous background information about the troubadours and the poems.

Precis. Albor, romanser, pastoureller, ballader och serenor.

Farai un vers de dreyt nien:
Non er de mi ni d'autra gen,
Non er d'amor ni de joven,
Ni de ren au,
Qu'enans fo trobatz en durmen
Sobre chevau.

Jag gör en dikt om ingenting.
Den handlar ej om tro och ring
och inte om de vardagsting
som då och då
i sömn på hästen, som går kring,
man hittar på.

Ah, the great Anglemark Book List. I remember it well. :-)

BTW, have I mentioned I am a Mac guy now?

It makes my heart leap with joy to hear. What machine is it? I'm still using my 5 year old B&W G3 @ 400MHz, but I have expanded it to 448 MB RAM so it's still keeping up. I'm going to get a new one for Christmas.

This past june, my girlfriend and I got the machine that is my machine now:

15" Powerbook (the last of the TiBooks) 1 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 60 GB hdd, Combo drive, Airport card, running 10.3.3; THE GREATEST COMPUTER I HAVE EVER OWNED.

My girlfriend has a B&W. My son has a tangerine iMac, which he loves. In about a two-month period, we went from all-PCs to all-Mac. MAJOR goodness.

I also have a 30GB iPod (rock!) and have managed to sell many Macs to friends. I think Apple owes me a commission. :-)

I don't know, maybe they pay for testimonials like that? :-) I gave my wife (http://www.livejournal.com/users/ljms) a 20 MB iPod for Christmas and she loves it too. (I should hope so!)

How old is you son these days? My guess would be 5 so he's probably 10, since x2 seems to be the factor I have to use to convert my hazy sense of time to real time.

Ooooh! [Not clicky or shiny thing related]
