These were pretty much my thoughts also. And it's easy to cross-post to LiveJournal from Dreamwidth, so that's a plus too. Haven't tried any of my other tools with it yet, though.

You do know that you can crosspost fairly easily between dreamwidth and LJ right? Dreamwitdth was specifically created to have that capacity.

Yep, I have set up the account to do that. But on LJ I am primarily a reader and not a writer, so I'd have to follow two posting streams - unless *everyone* crossposts, which they won't.
