The Last Light of the Sun by Guy Gavriel Kay, Simon & Schuster UK 2004. The latest novel by one of my absolute favourite authors. I've read mixed reviews of this one so I'm very curious about it.

The Game of Words by Willard R. Espy, Black Dog & Leventhal 2003 (reprint from 1972).
Quote: This book is a friendly salute to the utterly unimportant Game of Words. Since you will go on playing this game, willy-nilly, as long as you live, you may as well learn to relax and enjoy it. I offer you, as a starter, a share in some of the wordplay I have enjoyed, from pig Latin to palindromes (horrible stuff, some of it), and some of the word games I have played (always badly) from Bouts Rimés to Guggenheim. You can take it from there.

A new GGK novel?! Whoa, somehow I missed this when you posted! He's one of my all-time favorite authors. How is it? What's it about?

Hmm, it seems I forgot to reply to this one. I haven't started on it yet, but it is set in Northern Europe in what corresponds to the Viking age.
